Driving results in challenging times

We recently caught up with some of our favourite clients, Colin and Trisha Maxwell at Inland 4WD and Tractors, to hear how expert accounting and advice steered their business to success.

As a business that supports our region’s farmers, how do you withstand the “droughts and flooding rains” of the agribusiness industry?

We supply new and used agricultural machinery, spare parts, servicing and repairs across the Mid North Coast. As farmers ourselves, we understand the importance of building a solid, resilient business. For us, that means partnering with a trustworthy accounting firm that helps us forecast, plan ahead and be prepared for unexpected challenges – like this year’s floods, which continue to affect our customers.

How have you overcome the complexity of running a business with so many moving parts?

Our previous systems were messy, difficult and time-consuming. We reached out to Magnified for a solution to streamline operations and reduce our stress. Sandra and Cassie implemented a new accounting package that integrates workshop and dealership software with Xero, giving us immediate access to accurate data. Magnified provides clear advice across our finances, including multiple company structures, trusts and self-managed super funds.

What business goals have you achieved?

Reliable data and expert advice helps us make smarter business decisions. We’ve built a strong workshop, reducing our reliance on sales and can adjust our stock and staffing based on real time insights. We’re proud to have created a sustainable business that has remained successful during the 10-year industry low. Thanks to the confidence we have in our accounting team and these systems, we can stay on top of things remotely – giving us more freedom to enjoy holidays in our caravan!

How has Magnified changed the way you think about the value of accounting and advice?

It truly feels like a partnership. We have complete peace of mind knowing Magnified is across every aspect of our business. They genuinely care about our success and our family.
